At Virtue Mental Health Studio, we believe therapy should feel like a conversation you actually want to have – not a clinical transaction or a space where you have to explain yourself before you can heal. This is a place where your story matters, your feelings have room, and your growth doesn't have to look perfect.
Qu Twilley, LISW, is the heart and mind behind Virtue Mental Health Studio. A dedicated therapist, educator, and community leader, Qu brings a deep commitment to healing, empowerment, and excellence in mental health care.
Qu earned his Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Bowling Green State University, an institution nationally recognized for its strong foundation in public service and social justice. He went on to receive his Master of Social Work from Wayne State University, a premier urban research university known for its focus on equity, diversity, and rigorous clinical training.
In addition to his clinical practice, Qu serves as a graduate-level Lecturer at The Ohio State University, where he mentors and shapes the next generation of social workers through culturally responsive and justice-driven pedagogy.
His leadership extends beyond the classroom and therapy room, Qu proudly sits on the board of Black Men in Social Work, Inc., an organization committed to engaging, equipping, and inspiring Black men to pursue meaningful careers in social work and to be competent agents of change within their communities.
When he's not supporting others on their healing journey, you can find Qu traveling the world, diving into thought-provoking non-fiction, or centering himself in a yoga studio.
I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are ready to break free from negative self-talk, manage overwhelming emotions, and heal from the weight of trauma. My approach is compassionate, culturally sensitive, and focused on helping you feel seen, heard, and supported.
We'll work together using practical, evidence-based tools like cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness to help you build healthier coping strategies, improve emotional regulation, and reconnect with your sense of worth.
